We're back!!

Ok, we're back! I think we've got it figured it, finally. I saw one of my friends (Thanks Emily!!) today at a work meeting and she suggested we change the size (amount of memory space) of the pictures to take up less space.

I haven't posted since Halloween.....sheesh! We've been busy as usual since then. FIVE whole months of busy.

Lets see, Jered went hunting the week of Thanksgiving in Idaho with Eddie. He got us a nice deer that we've been enjoying. Ashlyn LOVES her some venison! This kids hardly eats any meat but she inhales venison!

Thanksgiving weekend we had a visit from "Elf on the Shelf". We named our elf Tio (not sure where she came up with this name, but she loves making up words). Tio stayed with us until Christmas Eve. He flies back to the North Pole every night after you go to sleep and reports to Santa if you've been naughty or nice. He will also give Santa your Christmas or deliver any messages you might have for Santa. Its very important not to touch Tio! If you touch him he might lose his magic and his magic helps him to fly home to the North Pole and Santa every night. Every morning Tio lands somewhere new. He landed in the Christmas Tree, on the top of the tree, on the TV, in the bowl of M&M's, he was reading Ashlyn's Christmas carol book one morning, he was found in her cereal bowl one morning, he was on her snowman night light. Tio was a very funny guy!

Christmas very busy as usual! Neither of us had any time off except Christmas day but we still managed to be everywhere we were invited! I think we had 5 Christmas's this year. :) Ashlyn had a blast. One of our Christmas parties was in Government Camp at Aunt Lavonn'es house. There was so much snow! We had so much fun playing, sledding, rolling down the hill, getting "lost" in the forest and looking for bears. We could hardly get the kids to come inside! They were little snowmen.

Grandma and Papa Mac came for most of the month of January. They were here for Ashlyn's birthday party so that was a lot fun. We also took advantage and had a date night out with some friends. We went to a really cool place in North Portland called Mint and I had a yummy jalapeno pineapple margarita. I've been wanting to go back ever since!

We had a few weekends in February we spent at a couple of wrestling tournaments. Ashlyn has become a real wrestling fan (NO, she will not be a wrestler!). We also went Lincoln City for my birthday. We spent one night and had a great time! The dogs loved it! It was kinda cold and rainy so Ashlyn loved the hot tub!

We're planning another trip to the coast for Jered's birthday weekend. We bought a two night stay in Newport with tickets to the Aquarium, Ripley's and the Wax Museum at an auction in Monroe. Hopefully we'll get some nice weather so we can play on the beach again. If not, the hotel has a hot tub!

This is Tio reading the Carol book. She loves that book. Its
March and we're still singing "O Christmas Tree"
We decorated these ginormous gingerbread men. It was
a lof of fun. Then Daddy and Ashlyn got to eat them!
We went to VooDoo Donuts on our "stay home day"
That's what she calls my day off.
We bought a family pass to the new Portland Aquarium.
Its kinda small but Ashlyn enjoys it!
We visited the reindeer at Seven Dee's nursery.
This was a lot of fun! They are a lot smaller than I expected.
Birthday ice cream at her favorite restaurant:
Applebee's!!
Sleeping on the floor between seats at the
state wrestling tournament. This kid can sleep
ANYWHERE!
Playing at the beach! Do you remember when you were a kid?
It didn't matter how cold that water was, you had to put your
feet in at the very least! She loved it!
Playing at the park on another of our
"stay home days"
